CHIROPRACTIC CARE
BENEFITS & PRACTICE
Chiropractic is a health care profession that focuses on disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system, and the effects of these disorders on general health. Chiropractic care is used most often to treat neuromusculoskeletal complaints, including but not limited to back pain, neck pain, pain in the joints of the arms or legs, and headaches. Doctors of Chiropractic – often referred to as chiropractors or chiropractic physicians – practice a drug-free, hands-on approach to health care that includes patient examination, diagnosis and treatment. Chiropractors have broad diagnostic skills and are also trained to recommend therapeutic and rehabilitative exercises, as well as to provide nutritional, dietary and lifestyle counseling.

LIFESTYLE MEDICINE
DIET. NUTRITION. BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION.
Lifestyle Medicine (LM) is the use of lifestyle interventions in the treatment and management of disease. Such interventions include: Diet (nutrition); Exercise; Stress Management; Smoking Cessation; and a variety of other non-drug modalities. A growing body of scientific evidence has demonstrated that lifestyle intervention is an essential component in the treatment of chronic disease that can be as effective as medication, but without the risks and unwanted side-effects. For more information about lifestyle medicine, visit the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. |
SOFT TISSUE TECHNIQUES
GRASTON TECHNIQUE & NEUROMUSCULAR THERAPY (NMT)
Instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization enables clinicians to effectively address scar tissue and fascial restrictions resulting in improved patient outcomes. These techniques use stainless steel or ceramic instruments, along with appropriate therapeutic exercise, to specifically detect and effectively treat areas exhibiting soft tissue fibrosis or chronic inflammation. The instruments also are used to follow the kinetic chain, to locate and treat the cause of the symptom as well as the specific area of pain. |
THERAPEUTIC MODALITIES
ELECTRIC MUSCLE STIMULATION. THERAPEUTIC ULTRASOUND. MASSAGE.
Our office uses other therapies to help hasten the healing process and facilitate chiropractic and rehabilitative care. These therapies include electric muscle stimulation, therapeutic ultrasound, general soft tissue massage, as well as heat and cold therapies. Our doctors are fully trained in all these adjunctive therapies.

ANIMAL CHIROPRACTIC
BENEFITS FOR PETS & ANIMALS.
Animal Chiropractic is a field of animal health care that focuses on the preservation and health of the neuro-musculo-skeletal system. Why? Nerves control everything that happens in your animals. Anything adversely affecting the nervous system will have detrimental effects that will resonate throughout the entire body. The command centers of the nervous system are the brain and spinal cord which are protected by the spine. The spine is a complex framework of bones (vertebra), ligaments, muscles and nerves. If the movement and biomechanics of the vertebra become dysfunctional, they can interfere with the performance of the nerves that are branching off of the spinal cord and going to the all of the muscles and organs. As this occurs, your animal can lose normal mobility; resulting in stiffness, tension, pain and even organ dysfunction.
Additionally, when normal movement is affected, and left unattended, it will ultimately impact your animal’s entire well being and quality of life. For more information visit optionsforanimals.com/what-is-animal-chiropractic
